Arizona District Championship Winners/AIA Sectional Preview
District championships have been happening the past couple weeks across the Valley and other parts of Arizona, and district champions have been crowned headed into the postseason. Below is a list of all the known district championship winning teams and individuals. All races were 5,000 meters unless otherwise stated.

** The Gilbert District XC Championships scored differently than the traditional top five scoring. They had one race for each class, and scored the top runner in each class, and then added the four numbers up for a final team score. For example, if your first freshman finished 3rd in the freshman race, then that would be 3 points for the freshman category. You would then score your top runner in each class(freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) and add them up for a final team score.

A big congratulations to all the district champions that have been crowned in the month of October. Up next, the AIA Sectional meets will happen across Arizona as the portal for teams and individuals to qualify for the AIA State Championship at Cave Creek Golf Course on November 14th. In order to qualify for the championships, teams need to be in the top half (50%) of scoring teams, or be one of the top seven individuals from non-qualifying teams to cross the line. Below are the four sectional locations, the dates and the divisions that are competing at each location.
